Garry Neill Kennedy: Superstar Shadow 1984-2005 is the summary publication for every Superstar Shadow wall-text paintings Kennedy exhibited from the mid 1980s to early 2000s.
The publication includes notes from Kennedy on each of the works as well as a foreword by Brian Meehan and short essays by Diana Nemiroff, Jeffrey Spalding, Stephen Horne, Roald Nasgaard, Robin Metcalfe, Jen Budney, Roger Bywater, John Goodwin, Martin Barlosky, Sherri Irvin, Gemey Kelly, Susie Major, Lelah Ferguson, Melanie Townsend, Ray Cronin and Peter Dykhuis.
Designed by Kennedy, Superstar Shadow was awarded the Visual Arts Book Award by the Ontario Association of Art Galleries in 2007.
It was produced by Museum London in partnership with Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, National Gallery of Canada and the Owens Art Gallery. It is available at the AGNS Bookstore and Owens Art Gallery.
