Posted (1982)

In 1982, Kennedy was sent a poster by Robin Peck, taken from the property of DIA [Art Foundation], warning that trespassing on their property was forbidden.

Kennedy remade the posters and had a pile of them sent to Kassel, Germany, where they were posted by a friend all over the grounds of Documenta.

When the poster was folded and mailed, it was titled Verboten (The word Verboten was ink-pad stamped next to the postage meter stamp), and when the poster was presented unfolded, it was titled Posted.
